An interactive guide, delivering information about the food allergy policies and menu ingredients of UK restaurant chains. A resource for sufferers of a food allergy or intolerance who want to confidently eating out.
Around 1 in 5 people in the UK, that’s 20% of the population, have some level of food sensitivity; 2% of adults have a food allergy that is potentially life threatening. Checking ingredients is mandatory for people on restrictive diets, already cautious of processed foods.
Although sufferers aren’t deterred from eating out, a survey we conducted showed that 55% check online menus before going out.
The aim of the guide was to make eating out an easier choice for anyone who has to be aware of food ingredients.
We specifically chose brand restaurants so that a user could be in any town and still find information and somewhere to eat.
